Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Presents the “Grupo Vidanta Foundation Prize”

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, will present the “Grupo Vidanta Foundation Prize” to the 2010 winners in the framework of the event, “The Bicentennial: Lessons and Opportunities.”
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 14, at 19:30 (00:30 GMT) in the Auditorium of the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. Former President of Uruguay Julio María Sanguinetti will be the keynote speaker.
The first place award is going to the Colombian foundation, “Mundo Mujer,” which will receive $100,000; the second place award to the Chilean organization, “Un Techo para Chile,” which will receive $75,000; and the third place to the Guatemalan organization, “Comunidades de la Tierra ONG,” which is to receive $50,000.
The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) has worked together with the Grupo Vidanta Foundation and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) since 2009 to launch the Grupo Vidanta Foundation Prize, which rewards Contributions to the Reduction of Inequality and Poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean.
